I have read Mr. Rady's novel, "A Time To Forgive". I think it would be interesting for anyone, but it was especially interesting for me because of the local references to towns in close proximity to where I grew up.  When I read the reference to Roachdale and Rockville for example, it really kept my interest. I really enjoyed reading this novel....Ted Bock, Clinton Center Class of 1957.

James E Rady was reared in the farming community of Roachdale, Indiana, and graduated from Roachdale High School in 1940. He earned his BA (1951) and MS (1961) degrees from Indiana University and completed post-graduate studies in Administration and Supervision at Indiana State and Ball State Universities.  He retired from a career in public education as a teacher and administrator at Clinton Center (Putnam County), Crawfordsville and Anderson, Indiana schools.  He retired from a 25 year military career as a Major in the US Army, having served active duty in the Coast Guard during World War II and in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. A few life-time experiences include sales clerk in Montgomery Ward and JC Penny stores; a mail carrier, bus boy, janitor and paper carrier for the Indiana Daily Student at IU; a member of the crew that installed the first dial telephone system in Cincinnati, OH. He worked in a machine shop and meat packing Co.; owned a grocery and a wholesale/retail business; fought a forest fire in Arizona and climbed a mountain in Utah.  He was a radio news reporter and host for a cable TV Talk Show. He also organized and directed a public relations offce for the IHSAA. Follwing a miracle healing in 1978 he has been involved in an in-depth study of the Bible, writng and teaching Sunday School and Bible Study lessons and writing Christian tracts and lyrics. He has published three books of poetry; "Still The Night Winds" (1973), "Whispers of Time" (1975) and "Shadows of His Glory" (2000). After several years of writing poetry, short strories, and various educational materials, including brochures, booklets, and newsletters, and becomng impaired by a TBI, his first novel Love Finds A Way, a Civil War story on the Western Front of that war, was published in 2008 at the age of 85 years.  Now, at the age of 88 years, his second novel, A Time To Forgive, a heart-warming story of the power of forgiveness, is published.  Jim and his wife Roberta, live in Lima, OH, and are the parents of 5 daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
