Bill Keyt

Nov. 1 1930 – Sept. 19, 2025

William Edwin “Bill” Keyt, 94, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025.

Born Nov. 1, 1930, in Greencastle, the son of Emmett Cleo and Clella Helen (Morlan) Keyt. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School in 1948.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War, receiving two Purple Hearts during his time of service.

Bill retired from IBM after 34 years of service as a carol press operator and security officer. He was a member of the Clinton Falls Community Church, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge and a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Melvin Keyt; sister Norma Jean Russell; granddaughter Holly Keyt; son-in-law Kim Miller; and daughter-in-law Raejean Keyt.

Bill is survived by his wife Joanna (Boller) Keyt; son Mark Keyt; daughter Sandy Keyt Miller; sister Betty Wallace; grandchildren Heather, Heidi, Kellsey Keyt and Chase and Seve Crabtree; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 11 at Clinton Falls Cemetery. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Friends and family are invited to fellowship and share memories at the Eagles Lodge, 207 W. Elizabeth St., Greencastle following the services.
